Free Composting Workshop Sat May 17th 11AM in the Senior Center. Composting brochures are avail at BOH office. An in-depth video entitled "Home Composting; Turning Your Spoils to Soil" is available at the library.
May 21 & May 22 HCS gym closed after school for regularly scheduled after school/evening activities.
Hubbardston Scholarship Committee Annual Pancake Breakfast Sun May 25th 7-11AM, On the Common, rain or shine. Menu: Pancakes w/Hubbardston-made maple syrup, sausage patties, orange juice, coffee. Blueberry or strawberries w/whip cream varieties also available. Adults $5, Under 6 $2, Add $1 for berries. Four $1000 scholarships will be awarded at 10am. Call 978-928-4073 for info.

QYBL summer recreational basketball program open to boys & girls in grades 5, 6 & 7 (as of fall 2008) in the QRSD, June 23 – July 25. Each division will play 2 games a week - Girls: T/Th, Boys: M/W; Scheduled games each night (no practices). Form available at HCS website at community news. Reg deadline June 6. A HCS staff member is looking for a small (5’x7’) dog run (donated - if you have one that you no longer need). Call HCS at 978-928-4487.
New age composter bins available through the Hub BOH (#11 $21.00; #24 $24.00; #30 $53.00-more than ˝ off retail cost). This limited supply special offer is made possible through a grant from the MA Department of Environmental Protection. Bins can be purchased at the workshop 11AM on May 17th or contact the BOH 978-928-1404. Check them out at the recycling workshop in the Senior Center.

QYBL is taking registrations for our summer recreational basketball program open to Students
(Boys &Girls) in (Fall 2008) grades 5th, 6th, & 7th throughout the Quabbin Regional School District.
Beginning June 23rd and ending July 25th, 2008
Each division ( Boys/Girls) will play two games a week and games will be held as
Follows: Girls: Tuesdays & Thursdays. Boys: Mondays and Wednesdays. Games
will have scheduled times each night. (NO PRACTICES)
